Frequently Asked Questions

What if there are leaves on the rails?

Small amounts of leaf fall do not pose a problem. If there are large numbers of deciduous trees along the route, we recommend fitting a leaf brush to the cabin Options.
The leaf brush can be retrofitted.

How will my lift cope with snow or ice?

During heavier falls of snow or sleet, we recommend fitting a snow brush to the cabin Options. The snow brush can be retrofitted. We offer track heating as well as a heating system for the conductor lines as additional options. However, neither of these options can be retrofitted.

Is it possible to carry more than 4 people?

Special sizes are available on request.

Is the lift protected against corrosion?

All parts are galvanized or made of aluminum and stainless steel. The cabin is constructed of GFRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic). The track is hot-dip galvanized and powder coated. This also affords the L-Tec Outdoorlift excellent protection in environments exposed to salty air.

Can it be installed on any type of terrain?

Yes. Of course, soil stability is the decisive factor but it only poses a problem in extremely rare cases. In very rocky or sandy soil, concrete foundations are used.

What about extremes of cold and heat?

The lift is designed as standard to operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to +40 degrees Celsius.
If it will be permanently exposed to extremely cold or hot temperatures, the components will be adapted accordingly.

How long does the installation process take?

Once the order has been placed, you should allow approximately 10 weeks production time and, depending on the length of the route, 1 to 2 weeks installation time.

Does the lift require regular maintenance?

Under normal usage conditions, the lift is usually serviced twice annually.

What does the L-Tec Outdoorlift cost?

You can find the relevant information under Planning + Construction.
The costs are largely determined by the length and type of route required. Our engineers are pleased to advise and assist you with your plans.

How long is the warranty on my lift?

We offer a 24-month warranty. Should you agree a full service contract with us, the warranty period is extended to a total of 5 years.
